At Childeric, we aim to include parents fully in the life of the school community. Some of the regular parental activities we offer are:
- Coffee mornings for all parents/carers to meet teachers and discuss the work of particular year groups.
- Regular target setting days for parents/carers to discuss children’s progress and targets and see their work.
- Parent and Toddler groups for parents with children who are hoping to come to our Nursery.
- Curriculum evenings for parents/carers to find out more about how a particular subject is taught at school, so that they may feel more confident to help at home.
- IMPACT workshops, where whole classes and their parents/carers work together for a session on a particular theme and take home resources for a homework project.
We also have also run special events for parents/carers in the past such as a school choir for all adults connected with the school community, and a football match between staff and parents/carers.
We aim to repeat these activities in the future and always welcome any suggestions that parents and carers may have about activities they would like to do at school!
