At Childeric, we strive to offer a broad and balanced curriculum that takes account of the interests and needs of all of our leaners. All pupils experience 'personalised learning', an approach that allows them to take ownership of their learning and an awareness of what they need to do to make further progress. We aim to take advantage of all learning opportunites, as can be seen in the picture below of children learning using the unexpected snowfall from February 2009!
We are moving towards a thematic approach to the curriculum, meaning that learning will be more topic-based and children will explore topics for learning experiences rather than a subject-based approach. We are working closely with other schools to ensure that this approach provides the best learning experiences for our children.
