What you can do to help your child during SAT’s

- Ensure your child goes to bed early when they are sitting their SATS.
- Ensure they have a good healthy breakfast each day.
- Ensure they arrive early for school.
- Ensure they have a bottle of water to drink during the tests.
- Don’t overload your child with information, threats or work concerning SATS.
- Do complete and help your child with their homework.
- Do praise and reward your child for working hard, this will raise their self esteem and confidence. And we all know if we are confident we can achieve anything!
- Remember SATs tests do not inform you that your child is failing or not succeeding, but informs you this is where your child is for this moment in time.
- Please try and make sure children are not absent.
- Do not hesitate to contact your teacher if there are
questions or worries concerning your child’s work.
