SATs

What you can do to help your child during SAT’s

 

  1. Ensure your child goes to bed early when they are sitting their SATS.
  2. Ensure they have a good healthy breakfast each day.
  3. Ensure they arrive early for school.
  4. Ensure they have a bottle of water to drink during the tests.
  5. Don’t overload your child with information, threats or work concerning SATS.
  6. Do complete and help your child with their homework.
  7. Do praise and reward your child for working hard, this will raise their self esteem and confidence.  And we all know if we are confident we can achieve anything!
  8. Remember SATs tests do not inform you that your child is failing or not          succeeding, but informs you this is where your child is for this moment in time. 
  9. Please try and make sure children are not absent.
  10. Do not hesitate to contact your teacher if there are
    questions or worries concerning your child’s work.
